Ninja Spinner is the fifth expansion pack in the MEGA Series and the most thematically focused set since the era began. Released March 13, 2026, it builds entirely around the ninja identity of Greninja - a Pokemon whose competitive popularity and collector appeal have made it one of the most requested Mega Evolutions since Legends: Z-A was announced. The set name references the attack printed on the flagship card itself: Mega Greninja ex's Ninja Spinner, a 120-damage move that rewards strategic energy management with an optional 80-damage boost.

At 120 cards (83 main set plus 37 secret rares), it sits at the compact end of the MEGA Series alongside M1L and M1S. The box format is standard for the era - 30 packs of 5 cards each. The Trainer lineup draws heavily from Kalos characters. AZ returns as a Supporter card (AZ's Tranquility), Emma makes her TCG appearance, and Roxie's Performance adds competitive draw support. The SAR pool runs six cards deep: Mega Greninja ex (#114), Mega Floette ex (#115), Mega Dragalge ex (#116), Cinccino ex (#117), AZ's Tranquility (#118), and Roxie's Performance (#119). That's three Pokemon and two Supporters, giving the premium tier a healthy spread between character art and Pokemon illustration. Where Nihil Zero centred on Mega Zygarde and the game's overarching narrative, Ninja Spinner narrows its focus to a single Pokemon's identity and builds a full set around it. It's the most character-driven expansion in the MEGA era - closer in philosophy to how Inferno X was built around Mega Charizard X than to the broader ensemble approach of MEGA Dream ex or the dual-set debut of Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia.

The English equivalent is Chaos Rising, scheduled for May 22, 2026. Note that Perfect Order (March 27, 2026) also draws from both M3 and M4 content in its combined English release - a common pattern where two smaller Japanese sets feed into one or more larger English products. The Japanese printing remains the pure Ninja Spinner experience: 120 cards, tightly themed, without the mixed-set structure of the English releases.
